![]() ![]() Again, this is coming from a student who has done hours and hours of bow excercises like this.you just need more practice to get all the notes and good sound on all of them. ![]() It was beautiful to watch that kind of control. He is using the same amount of bow for every one of those types of measures. I watched the Maisky video and if you will see.although, he is using one bow.he is not even using the whole bow. I am sure your teacher noticed this lack of bow control and would be happy to discuss it further. So, perhaps some bowing etudes with a lot of time spent practicing them. You just can't do all the notes on one bow.this is what you said in your post. That I feel is your problem and not the Prelude. ![]() It doesn't matter which bowing you use as long as it sounds good :-). But, that is not your problem if you don't mind a student speaking here. I always go back to Casals and Rostropovich.whatever they do I want to do and not the "modern way". This is one of my favorite pieces and my teacher and I have had a few discussions about it (and others). As a student who has "been there" Zambo is right on (of course). ![]()
